此外，我们还可以称之为：Chinese New Year（中国新年）或Lunar New Year（农历新年）。
谈及此，Coinnew，我们不能不提及日历。这是因为我们的传统节日是基于我们特有的历法——农历。
英文中，“日历”被称作：calendar。
由于农历是中国特有的历法，因此我们可以说Chinese calendar。
它的正式名称是Lunar calendar，即阴历。
“Lunar”一词来源于月亮，因为阴历是根据月亮的运行周期制定的。
相对应的，现在全球普遍使用的历法是阳历：
solar calendar（阳历），其中“solar”意为太阳的。
阳历的正式名称是Gregorian Calendar（格里高利历），也被称为公历或阳历。
这个历法是在1582年由当时的罗马教皇格里高利十三世批准并颁布实施的。
农历日期的表达方式
由于使用了不同的历法，我们不能用January，February等月份名称来表示日期。在农历中，日期的表达方式是“第几个农历月的第几天”。
例如，我们的新年是农历正月初一，英文可以说：the first day of the first lunar month。
元宵节则是农历正月十五，英文表达为：the fifteenth (day) of the first lunar month。

生肖在英文中被称为Chinese zodiac，其中zodiac意为属相或星座。
农历新的一年是猪年，英语中可以说The year of pig/boar，其中boar是指野猪。
如果你属猪，可以直接说：I'm a pig.
当然，如果你担心别人误解或觉得这样说不太合适，也可以这样表达：
I was born in the year of pig.（我是猪年出生的）
如果正好是你本命年，还可以加上一句：This is my year.
如果你想问别人属什么，可以说：
